New year, New Everything

The summer equinox had me in a new year's mood. I am looking at this summer as a time of renewal and growth and building on all that came before.

I've moved, again, and my garden (built by Karen) is beautiful. I hope and pray I can do it justice.

I have cleaned a lot up today and will continue to do more to honor my property and my soul.

I am writing updates and am making it a goal to publish 500 words per day until I have 365 posts.

Someone who inspires me is Ivy at Circle Thrice, I will link in the comments to her corresponding post about the Equinox.

New Pup in the House!

So, our dog's passing was pretty sad, and it may be too early for some in our little household, but we did agree to get a new dog! There was an adoption special, an event to adopt all the dogs, and we did come home with one young pup! He will be crate trained for the first little while, and generally discouraged from getting on the bed. Hahaha.

We might have gotten two, but we agreed to wait another year or two for discipline's sake.

Content Warning

 Content Warning: Pet death.

I feel awful. I was sick to my somach and lae for work, because, I found something awful on the way o work. I found my partner's dog, Red, who he's had for more than six years, dead on the street. He was freaked out yesterday on the fourth and got out of the gate, I found his collar in a puddle of goo in a busy street nearby.

I felt I couldn't just leave him there. I went to the nearby gas station and asked for a bag for the collar. I asked the people behind the counter what I should do, followed thier advice and called animal control. But  I couldn't stand the thought of more people running him over and turning him more to jelly.

So I asked for a bigger bag, and walked out into the street (Next time I'll drive out and park my car upstream, I nearly got hit myself a couple times) and scooped him, and put him on the side of the road, and drove to work at my awful insurance call center job.

This Job is Chicken Shit.

Please excuse the fowl language:

a chicken taking a shit sound exactly like you think it sounds. If there was ever a sound you hear and you look up, expecting to see a chicken taking a shit, like a kind of watery BLEERT, that is precisely what just happened.

I haven't laughed that hard in days.
